It all began in 1933…. The first meeting of the Rotary Club of Grafton – for 88 years the club has served the local community as part of the global organisation, known as Rotary International.
During that time, like the surroundings of Grafton itself, the club has progressed and transformed. New members & presidents have flowed through the arteries of the club keeping it strong & fertile, expanding and even sponsoring the creation of new rotary clubs in the local community.
It is interesting to contemplate the major events that have occurred during this time. There have been conflicts of world proportion, famines, & plagues, as well as major advancements in science & technology……. Yet somehow Rotary has continued revolve and evolve in this global machine.
